Custom domains

Custom domains allow users to add their own domain names to their projects instead of using the automatically generated domains provided by Hubble Studio. This can help with branding and provide a more professional appearance for the project.

Note: Newly added domains always point to the production environment. If you want to use a custom domain for a preview environment, you will need to specifically assign it.

Adding custom domain

  1. Go to the project settings in Hubble Studio.
  2. Click on the "Domains" tab.
  3. Enter the domain name you want to use.
  4. Verify that the DNS "A" record for the domain points to the given load balancer. The domain will only be added successfully if the record is correct.
  5. Click "Add domain"

If you're experiencing issues with your custom domain, double-check your DNS settings and ensure that the "A" record points to the correct load balancer.

Assigning domains to environments

By default, custom domains are assigned to the production environment. If you want to assign a custom domain to a specific environment, you'll need to follow these steps:

  1. In the custom domain settings, find the domain you want to assign to an environment.
  2. Choose the environment you want to assign the domain to from the drop-down list.
  3. Click "Save".

Removing custom domain

  1. In the custom domain settings, find the domain you want to remove.
  2. Click the "Delete" button.
